Pennsylvania Writers Conference

The Pennsylvania Writers Conference is designed to engage, educate and empower the literary community. If you’re a passionate writer, reader, or both, join us on the campus of Wilkes University to learn more about fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, screenwriting and playwriting.

Past speakers include National Poetry Slam Finalist and the 2007 Legend of Slam Jason Carney, NPR’s Fresh Air book critic Maureen Corrigan, former United States Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey, poet and scholar Jay Parini, and Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winner Norman Mailer.

The 2018 Pennsylvania Writers Conference will be held from July 29 to August 4, 2018.
