The Department of Finance/Accounting of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) invites submissions for the Third CEIBS Accounting and Finance Symposium to be held in Shanghai on May 16, 2017. The conference presents an opportunity for scholars to get together and exchange new ideas. We welcome submissions of managerial and financial accounting papers that address management accounting, governance or financial reporting issues that pertinent to the evolving and changing economic environments. The organizing committee chair is Yuhchang Huang, Professor of Accounting at CEIBS, and the keynote speaker is Dennis Campbell, Dwight P. Robinson, Jr. Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. PAPER SELECTION: We aim to have six papers on the program, allowing adequate time for each paper. Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from the discussion at the conference. Papers with innovative ideas, concepts, or methods are strongly preferred. Presenters can expect quality discussants, an active audience, and many informal interactions with the participants. The schedule for the previous year’s conference can be found here. FINANCIAL SUPPORT: For presenters and discussants, we will reimburse travel expenses up to RMB 2,000 for travel within the Great China, up to RMB 6,000 for international flights less than 6 hours, and up to 10,000 RMB for international flights longer than 6 hours. We also cover hotel and meals during the conference.
