Belgian Financial Research Forum 2018 (Keynote Darrel Duffie)
After the 2016 conference hosted by the National Bank of Belgium, the 16th meeting of the Belgian Financial Research Forum (BFRF) will take place at the National Bank of Belgium (Brussels) in Brussels on June 1, 2018. For the first time this research forum will be jointly organized by HEC-Liège, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Louvain School of Management, Universiteit Antwerpen, Universiteit Gent, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Université de Mons, Université de Namur, Vlerick Business School, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. This forum provides a unique opportunity to discuss ongoing research in one of the parallel sessions and in a more informal way during the breaks or over lunch.
Papers for presentation from all fields of finance are welcome. Junior and senior researchers are encouraged to present their work. We will do our best to make sure that senior researchers will keep up the BFRF tradition by attending the conference and giving their younger colleagues guidance and practical advice. We will give particular attention to the allocation of discussions based on the research specialty of the discussants, so that presenters will get the best comments on their work.
This year the keynote speech will be given by one of the world’s leading figures in finance, Prof. Darrell Duffie, Dean Witter Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, and professor by courtesy, Department of Economics, Stanford University.
Full papers should be sent (in pdf) no later than May 5, 2015 to Louvain.firstname.lastname@example.org . Please include the following information in your submission:
- An abstract of the paper, not exceeding 300 words
- The subfield of finance for which you would like to submit among the following list: Asset Pricing/Management; Corporate Finance/Governance; Banking; Microstructure; International Finance; Financial Econometrics; Macro-Finance; Systemic risk; Financial Networks.
- Contact information (name, affiliation, email) for all authors
Submissions will be carefully examined by a scientific committee of experts and the presentations will be commented by the participating discussants or by attending senior researchers and academics. A notice of acceptance for presentation will be sent by May the 10th.
A 50€ participation fee will be charged for coffee breaks and lunch. This fee does not cover travel and accommodation expenses. Information about the payment will be given upon acceptance.
