CALL FOR PAPERS - 3rd PhD Summer Institute in International Trade & Industrial Organisation

The College of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University invites PhD students in the field of international trade (JEL-Classification F0 to F2) and industrial organisation (JEL-Classification L0 to L5) to present their work at the 3rd PhD Summer Institute on 13th of March 2025 in Adelaide, South Australia. 

The PhD Summer Institute is jointly organised by Onur Koska and Ilke Onur. The first meeting was hosted by Flinders University in 2023 and University of Canterbury in Christchurch, NZ was the host for the second event in 2024. The objective of the Summer Institute is to provide PhD students of all years in the two fields with a platform for discussing their work with both fellow PhD students and senior scholars. Each student paper will be assigned a senior discussant. Both theoretical and empirical research in international trade and/or industrial organisation is welcome. The deadline for submissions is December 13, 2024. 

We would like to advise that the PhD Summer Institute will be succeeded by the Australasian Trade Workshop that will be hosted by the School of Economics and Finance at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia on 15-16 March 2025. PhD students accepted for presentation at the PhD Summer Institute will be given the opportunity to also attend the Australasian Trade Workshop (https://sites.google.com/view/australasiantradeworkshop/).

There is no registration fee. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer financial assistance to participants. Upon acceptance, you will be asked to book your travel and accommodation independently.
