The considerable importance of Labor Economics in international forums suitably reflected in the curricula of top universities, front line international journals and conferences around the world remains elusive for many developing countries. The learning and practice of labor economics in the mainstream approaches have low participation, generally, except in few isolated centers of teaching and research. One of the priorities for spreading the culture and incite greater interest and research in the sub-discipline is to bring together front line researchers to discuss new and emerging ideas – especially those with strong theoretical and empirical inferences. These issues may cover human capital and schooling outcomes, frictions and participation in the labor market along with gender issues, minimum wages, risk and rent sharing, labor unions, international labor migration, labor market policies, macroeconomics and labor, international trade and labor market, etc.
