Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)

The OSCE originated in the détente era of the early 1970s out of an interest in dialogue and cooperation between East and West. In 1994, the original Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) was replaced by its current form, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
