The Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies*Â *was established in 1987 as a
state supported, public academic institution in Pisa Italy. The school holds
a unique position within the Italian higher education system as it offers
international Masters and Ph.D. courses, and specialized courses for
undergraduates in collaboration with the University of Pisa. Approximately
1,600 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students are enrolled in the
university.
The Scuola Sant'Anna is a public research university focused in the field
of applied sciences: Biorobotics, Communication, Information and Perception
Technologies, Life Sciences, Economics, Law, Politics and Development,
Management. Furthermore, excellent scholarships are offered to the most
dedicated Italian and international students.
As a public University, the Scuola Sant’Anna is accredited by the Italian
Government through the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR)
and by the National Agency for Assessment of the University system and
Research (ANVUR)/. /According to the 2004-2010 Assessment for Research
Quality results, the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna is in the top ranking of all
small size Italian universities. Also, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna is member
of the EUA (European University Association).
