The Free University of Brussels (ULB) was established in 1834 as an
independent partly state funded academic institution in Brussels, Belgium.
Approximately 32% of the entire student population comes from numerous
countries abroad, which has added to the cosmopolitan feel of the
prestigious university. More than 24,200 bachelor's, master's, and doctoral
students are enrolled in the thirteen ULB faculties.
