Institute of Solid State Physics (ISSP) was established in Riga at the
University of Latvia. The ISSP  focuses its efforts on further
understanding and researching solid state physics, innovation policy, and
other related disciplines of study. The ISSP is structured into
seven research divisions and laboratories concerning photonics materials,
semiconductor materials, radiation physics, electronic engineering, and
ferroelectrics.Â
