Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

In 1988 the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was founded as a scientific intergovernmental body of the United Nations, which was established due to the request of numerous members and their governments. IPCC was formed, by the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Meteorological Organization, as the main authority around the globe concerning climate change and related issues.
