Middle East Technical University

Middle East Technical University (METU) was established in 1956 as a public academic institution in Ankara, Turkey. Approximately 23,000 Turkish and international students are enrolled in the five faculties at METU.  The mission of the Middle East Technical University  is to reach, produce, apply and promote knowledge. METU strives to educate individuals with specialized knowledge for the social, cultural, economic, scientific and technological development of the Turkish society and all of humanity. This is to be done by bringing teaching, research and social services up to excellent universal standards.
