In 2009 the Nazarbayev University (NU) was established as an autonomous
research institution in Astana, Kazakhstan. Approximately 1,500 students
are enrolled in the 7 main schools at the NU. Prestigious studies at NU
include engineering, business, education, public policy, technology, science,
and humanities.Â
