Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)

The OSCE originated in the dΓ©tente era of the early 1970s out of an interest in dialogue and cooperation between East and West. In 1994, the original Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) was replaced by its current form, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. The OSCE now has 57 participating states from around the globe and addresses issues from arms control to human rights to the environment. OSCE
