Sophia University was established in 1913 as a private research university in 1913 in Tokyo, Japan. Sophia University was ranked one of the top three private institutions in the country and has gained prestige for its international academic collaborations with institutions such as Yale University. Approximately 12,000 students are enrolled in courses full time.
