Swedish Institute for Social Research

The Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) was founded in 1972 as part of the prestigious Stockholm University in Sweden. SOFI focuses on four main areas concerning the labor market, welfare, social policy, and gender inequality. SOFI researchers are involved in international research collaborations regarding the aforementioned social and labor issues. Furthermore, SOFI works closely with the sociology and business departments at the Stockholm University to further progress research initiatives and scientific findings.
