Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU)

The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) was established in 1977 as a public academic institution in Uppsala, Sweden. Approximately 4,000 bachelor, graduate, and doctoral students attend the university, which is funded by the Swedish Ministry for Rural Affairs. There are four prestigious faculties at SLU which are the  Faculty of Natural Resources and Agriculture Sciences, Faculty of Landscape Planning, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science and Faculty of Forest Sciences, and the Faculty of Horticulture and Agricultural Sciences. Furthermore, SLU has been ranked as one of the top ten universities in Sweden.
