The University of Beira Interior (UBI) was founded in 1979 as a public
academic institution in Covilha, Portugal. Approximately 7,200 Portuguese and
international students are enrolled in the five faculties at UBI , which
consist of departments regarding arts, human and social sciences,
mathematics, engineering, and health sciences.Â
