University of Belgrade

The University of Belgrade was established in 1808 in Belgrade, Serbia as a public academic institution. It is the largest and oldest university in Serbia with approximately 90,000 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral Serbian, and international, students enrolled in its thirty-one faculties. The university specializes in medical and technological sciences, humanities, natural sciences and mathematics. Furthermore, the University of Belgrade is home to eleven prestigious and scientific research institutes, such as the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering and the Siniša Stankovi? Institute for Biological Research.
