University of Houston

The University of Houston (UH) is a state research university that was founded in 1927 in Houston, Texas. It is also a well known flagship institution of the University of Houston System and is the third largest university in the state of Texas. UH has been classified as a Tier One research institution by The Carnegie Foundation. UH awards over 8,200 degrees annually to its students and offers interdisciplinary research in fields regarding superconductivity, biomedical sciences and engineering, and artificial intelligence, energy and natural resources, amongst numerous others. Motivated students may also study their degrees online through the UH Distance Education program.
