University of Maryland

In 1856 the University of Maryland was established as a flagship, land-sea-and-space-grant, public university in College Park, Maryland. Approximately 37,700 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students are enrolled in the 13 colleges and schools at the university. Programs concerning business, journalism, engineering, social science, public policy, and natural resources are among the most distinguished at the institution.
