Established in 2005, the University of Stavanger (UiS) is an academic
institution located in Stavanger, Norway. The university is structured into
three faculties, the Faculty of Arts and Education, the Faculty of Science
and Technology and the Faculty of Social Sciences, in which 9,000 students
are currently enrolled. UiS  is also home to two national centers of
research and expertise, and is affiliated with the European Consortium of
Innovative Universities.Â
