The VGSE is located at the University of Vienna and is part of the Oskar Morgenstern Doctoral School (OMDS). The VGSE offers a broad three-year PhD program in economics with a world-class faculty located in the center of the “number 1 quality of living city worldwide”. The VGSE specializes in offering field courses, research seminars where students and professors present ongoing research, and intensively supervised research time. The program is entirely run in English. Applicants at the VGSE have completed a master´s program with advanced courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.

Online application form, English test, GRE test, CV, motivation letter, research proposal, 2 recommendation letters, grade list, reading lists/syllabi, knowledge in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics at a research master level
Course Fees:
Fellowships and research grants are offered. No tuition fees apply.
