The Department of Economics at Texas A&M University is pleased to host the 27th Annual Meeting of the Midwest Econometrics Group (MEG 2017). The conference will take place from October 20-21, 2017 in College Station, Texas. Domenico Giannone (Federal Reserve Bank of New York) and Barbara Rossi (ICREA-Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona GSE and CREI) are confirmed as keynote speakers.
The organizers welcome submission of papers related to applied, empirical or theoretical econometrics research in all fields of economics. Conference information and instructions on how to submit papers are provided on the conference website at www.meg2017.org. The submission deadline is 31st of July, 2017.
The department is also happy to continue the tradition of the mentoring workshop for junior female economists organized as part of the conference. The goal of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for juniors to work closely with established senior mentors, which can help them start building a substantive and long-lasting intellectual relationship. It will also naturally open up possibilities for collaboration and joint research. Junior participants of the conference are encouraged to apply through the general submission page. More details on the format of the workshop would be provided at www.meg2017.org/mentoring.html.
We are looking forward to receiving your submissions and welcoming you to College Station.
