Institute of Economics, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile

Located in the building of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, it has a team of 23 full-time faculty , of which 20 have a PhD faculty. It was created in 1972, it has more than a thousand of graduates and an average of 50% of students in the last decade are from abroad. It invest part of its efforts in research, therefore the institute generates 2,000 jobs on research of economic issues, producing articles in economics press, journals and books. The campus counts with conference rooms, classrooms equippped with latest video conferencing technology, individual study rooms, computer and different spaces for students. The library has updated and specialized collections in economy, in addition, the students can use a broad electronic collection of 300 academic journals from JSTOR.
